Honors Scholarship Competition| Event

High school honors students are invited to attend our Tower Honors Scholarship Competition Day on Monday, February 19, 2024. 

During your time on campus, you will be hosted for a special luncheon and will have the opportunity to engage with faculty, tour the campus, view a residence hall, and meet with the offices of Admission and Financial Aid. You also will meet with the co-directors of the Tower Honors program for an interview. 

Available Scholarships

  • Lydia Sessions Honors Scholarship. Named for the first president of Lake Erie College, the Lydia Sessions Honors Scholarship in combination with other Lake Erie College scholarships and grants, including state grants, will cover full tuition and fees for up to four years. A maximum of seven awards will be granted annually.

  • Anna M. Edwards Honors Scholarship. Named for the second president of Lake Erie College, the Anna M. Edwards Honors Scholarship will cover $2,000 annually for four years.

How Do I Reserve My Spot at the Competition?

  • Reserve your spot for the Tower Honors Scholarship Competition by February 10 at this link.

  • Submit a 600-750 word essay that discusses why you are interested in the Tower Honors program, how you believe you will benefit from pursuing a course of Honors study, and what academic and volunteer activities you have participated in that will enable you to contribute to the Tower Honors Community. Submissions must be uploaded by midnight on February 10, 2024 at this link.

Students will be notified of their scholarship awards by March 4, 2024.
